TENT WEIGHT AND PEAK HEIGHT AT BOTTOM OF PAGE.

Standard Features

  • 5 FOOT SIDE WALLS: Walls are a full 5’ of canvas and are measured from the outside of the tent.
  • STOVE JACK: 5 1/2" (can be cut to 6").
  • FREE STORM FLAP protects the zipper and closes the door if you have zipper problems when camping in your canvas tent with a frame.
  • FREE BACK WINDOW OR BACK DOOR: A $50 option for some tent companies.
  • FREE REINFORCED EAVE WITH WEBBING ENTIRE LENGTH OF EAVE
  • FREE D RINGS SEWN INTO EAVE WEBBING: Much stronger than grommets pressed into canvas.
  • FREE DOUBLE LAYER OF CANVAS ON RIDGE: A major wear point that is reinforced.
  • VINYL SOD CLOTH acts as an air seal and prevents the canvas from touching any rainwater, which will wick up the canvas wall.
  • TENT BAG: Oversized to ensure your tent fits in it.
  • RIDGE OPENINGS FOR LODGE POLE: Some hunters use lodge pole pine to make a tent frame when packing in to avoid hauling a heavy metal frame on horses.
  • FRONT ZIPPERED DOOR, YKK #10: Always ensure your canvas tent with frame has YKK zippers, or you might have zipper problems when camping.
  • 200' OF ROPE AND 20 TENSIONERS that tighten the tent eave rope connecting to tent stakes.

6' SIDE WALL OPTION AVAILABLE

  • 6' side walls provide much more headroom and usable tent space. 6' walls allow a person to get next to a wall without hitting their head against rafters or the canvas roof of your Wilderness wall tent with frame.
  • Some companies only have 4' 7" sidewalls, which severely restricts how much space you can actually use in your canvas tent with frame.
  • We strongly recommend asking your suppliers for the finished height of side walls before purchasing, so you will not be surprised or disappointed upon delivery.
  • 6' option only available on FIRE, water, and mildew-treated tents.

General Information

  • FRAMES CANNOT BE RETURNED OR REFUNDED, as each frame is custom-made to fit the specific tent.
  • Be advised that competitor frames that use cables are much weaker than normal frames. Cables are only used on frames that are not strong. Frames that have 3/4" conduit or thin-walled aluminum frames normally have cables.
  • Interested in buying now and paying later? Choose the appropriate PayPal option at checkout.
  • IF YOU WANT TO REDUCE THE OVERALL COST OF YOUR CANVAS TENT WITH FRAME, you can make your own frame using our tent frame angle kits, and make the tent frame from steel conduit available at all hardware stores. View tent and angles for more info.
  • WILDERNESS WALL TENT AND ANGLE KIT special includes the tent and either a 3-rafter, 4-rafter, or 5-rafter angle kit, depending upon the size of the tent ordered.
  • Building a wall tent with a frame made from steel conduit takes 60-90 minutes, depending on the size of your tent. Steel conduit is readily available at all hardware stores, including Home Depot and Lowe's. The only tool required is a hacksaw or pipe cutter. All power tools that cut metal will also work.
  • Click ANGLE KITS for information on how to easily build a canvas tent frame from steel conduit.
  • ARMY DUCK DOUBLE FILL
    • Army Duck double fill is the highest quality canvas made. This canvas is made by weaving threads together, crosswise and lengthwise. The Army Duck canvas used for our Wilderness wall tent with frame consists of two threads twisted together, resulting in a single thread. These double-twisted threads are woven into the canvas, going both crosswise and lengthwise. Twisting two threads together into one makes the Army Duck canvas stronger and more durable, and also allows the canvas tent with a frame to breathe better. 10.1 oz Army Duck wall tents are just as strong as a 12 oz Dual Fill.
  • WILDERNESS TENTS ARE THE TOUGHEST & STRONGEST TENTS AVAILABLE
    • Our Wilderness Tents feature a double layer of canvas on the ridge, eaves are reinforced with webbing, and steel D rings are on the eaves instead of grommets. No other tent has this additional reinforcement.
  • TENT FRAME
    • Please keep in mind that the frame is designed not to fit tightly on your frame to allow for the shrinkage of the tent canvas. All tent canvas will shrink 1-3 % after it becomes wet. If you want a tighter fit for your canvas tent with a frame, set your tent up and spray it down with water inside and out, especially on the seams. The seams have small needle holes, which will close when sprayed with water. If you are not concerned about a slightly loose tent, the tent will naturally shrink over time as a result of dew and condensation. Never have a skin-tight wall tent with a frame. When a tent is skin-tight on a frame, there is tremendous pressure on the seams. Eventually, the seams will loosen or tear. Same process as when a person wears extremely skin-tight jeans.
  • FIRE-TREATED 10’ x 12’ TENT WITH SCREEN DOOR
    • Please note that our fire-treated 10’ x 12’ Wilderness wall tent with a front screen door, side windows, and back window has different features than the standard Wilderness canvas tent with frame. Please see the modifications listed below:
      • INVERTED/UPSIDE-DOWN T DOOR ZIPPER ON FRONT DOOR: This allows one side of the door to open while the other side remains totally closed. In this manner, the tent's sod cloth stays in place on both sides of the door. This is especially beneficial if a stake in the floor is used with your canvas tent with a frame. Water and bugs cannot enter under the front of the tent, as the sod cloth remains in place when the tent doors are open.
      • NO VINYL CORNERS: Reinforced canvas corners.
      • ADJUSTABLE HEAVY STRAPS instead of stake loops around the bottom of the tent. Adjustable straps allow tightening the stake loop as necessary instead of repositioning the stake. Adjustable straps are very beneficial if the tent is to be used on a platform. If requested, we will provide corresponding buckles to secure the wall tent with frame to the platform.
      • METAL STORM FLAP BUCKLES WITH ADJUSTABLE STRAPS to secure the storm flap. It should be noted that the storm flap is a free feature that protects the door zipper from rain and ice.
      • 35” TRIANGLE BACK WINDOW WITH A SCREEN
      • FIRE-RESISTANT CANVAS that meets CPAI 84 fire-retardant code. If a canvas tent with a frame is not specifically treated for fire resistance, it will burn quickly. Fire-resistant canvas will only burn when there is a flame source present on the canvas. When you remove the flame source, the wall tent will stop burning. However, there is no wall tent made that will not burn.
        • STATES THAT REQUIRE FIRE-TREATED CANVAS TENTS: CA, LA, MI, MA, MN, NJ, and NY.

Tent looks awesome. Good quality. Great customer service. -Todd

I have a friend who set up his new 16 x 20 wilderness tent. It is beautiful and well made. I want the same set up, tent, Yukon stove , extended fly, angle kit upgrade, cook shack and floor. -Jeremy

I ordered an angle kit and your wilderness model. They are great. -Paul

Love the tent. We took our wilderness wall tent to Yellowstone. It was almost like staying in a hotel. -Ernst

Love the wilderness 10 x 12 model. I can get it up by myself in about 30 minutes. -Brenda

The 16 x 20 wilderness canvas tent we bought from you is bad to the bone. Very nice set up. Very happy with it. -Dave

I thought that I would let you know how your 12 x 14 and matching fly worked out for us this year in our annual deer hunt. The weather reached -6 Fahrenheit. The snow was knee deep when we reached camp this year. Every day we would receive an additional 3-5 inches of snow. Your wilderness canvas tent worked great and stayed completely dry inside. The fly easily shed all the snow and ice. The wilderness wall tent fit the conduit frame great thanks to the accurate dimensions provided to me. Cutting the conduit was very easy. I cannot say enough about the value in this tent. We really appreciate the quality. Can't wait until next November. -Marc

Thanks for the tent and all your help. Looking forward to buying more great items from Wall Tent Shop. -Dan

Great tent. We really enjoyed it during hunting season. Top quality. Thanks again for helping us pick the right canvas tent size. -Steve

My son and I bought a complete tent package, tent, stove, fly and angle kit a few years ago. Just wanted to let you know that we are totally pleased with no complaints. -Harry

Hi Rich. The Wilderness wall tent works great. -Beau

Rich hunting season has come and went and I just wanted to send you a special thanks for all your service and info you provided us. First, the tent and accessories worked as well as promised and I think much better. Took the son and myself a little longer than planned to set up the tent the first time in the field. But all went well and thanks for the extra rope, very much appreciated. Large stove worked well at night and had the capability to make it much warmer on cold nights. Great to have that extra heating capability when needed by having that largest stove. Our season opened on a Saturday and a storm rolled in on Friday at noon. By 6:00 pm Friday night, temperatures were down to low 30's with wind chill much lower with with winds up to 50 to 60 miles per hour. Blew like that until Saturday afternoon. I didn't get much sleep that night since I was awake with flashlight in tow checking to see if everything stayed put. The tent, fly, tie downs, and stakes never budged. Thank you for a great product. I have passed on your your company to numerous others who were impressed with what they saw when everything was set up. We are now looking for other places to hunt now that we have a great shelter in hand. Thanks again, keep up the good work. -Ed

A FLY IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

A fly is a protective tarp that covers the roof, extending the life expectancy of your tent. Also, there are thousands of needle holes in your tent, and occasionally a needle hole does not close when the tent is wetted down. The only way to ensure your tent does not leak is to put a fly on your tent.

I price my flies approximately 25-50% below most of my competitors to encourage individuals to use a fly to protect the roof of their canvas tent with a frame.

Every month, we get calls from customers who buy a fly after using their tent. Usually, customers have spark holes in their tent roof or dirt, pitch, and tar on their roof that won't come off. A fly is strongly recommended at the time of purchase to avoid possible roof issues. And most importantly, to increase the life expectancy of your tent. — Rich

FLY ADVANTAGES

  • SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASES THE LIFE OF YOUR TENT: The roof is the first part of a tent that normally fails. When you use a fly, you’re increasing the lifespan of your Wilderness wall tent with a frame.
  • PREVENTS STOVE SPARK BURN HOLES IN THE ROOF: It is much easier and cheaper to replace a fly, if necessary, than a canvas tent with a frame.
  • HELPS PREVENT LEAKS: Provides another moisture barrier to prevent leaks.
  • PROTECTS THE COTTON CANVAS FROM HARMFUL UV RAYS: Put a cotton shirt outside during the summer and see how UV rays destroy the cotton.
  • KEEPS THE ROOF CLEAN: When camping under a tree, the tree rains down dirt during rainstorms. Having a fly prevents pitch and tar from getting on the roof. Removing tree pitch and tar requires a harsh detergent, which destroys the roof's water, mildew, and fire treatment. When it’s ruined, you will have leaks in your roof.
  • OVERHANG: A fly provides a 1-foot overhang on each side of the tent. It forces water and snow 1 foot away from the side wall of the canvas tent with a frame. With a fly, water and snow will slide off the fly quicker than they would on the canvas roof. This is because the fly is completely smooth.
  • SOME INSULATION: Provides some insulation value when there is an air gap between the fly and the roof.

RECOMMENDATION: ALWAYS KEEP YOUR TENT ROOF AND FLY TAUT SO WATER CAN QUICKLY BE REMOVED FROM YOUR WILDERNESS WALL TENT.

Water can collect on the roof in an "eave trough," which is a low area just before the sidewall created by a not-tight roof or loose fly.

The canvas of your wall tent with frame should be very taut on the tent frame, especially if set up for extended periods of time, and a fly should always be used. The fly should also be tight to avoid water in an eave trough. Water will eventually go through the fly if saturated for weeks, damaging your canvas tent with frame. If the canvas is saturated in water, it will rot and mildew regardless of the water-mildew protection applied. There is no warranty for eave rot.

When you receive your tent, set it up and completely wet it down, especially on the seams, both inside and outside seams on your tent. Wetting down your tent will cause the canvas to shrink and help close the thousands of needle holes in your tent.

TENTS ON PLATFORMS

I strongly recommend you read my recommendations regarding placing a Wilderness wall tent with a frame on a platform. Click platforms.

I strongly recommend tent frame leg supports for your canvas tent with a frame on platforms, which are screwed onto the platform. Wood platforms are smooth surfaces compared to the ground. You don't want to have the tent frame legs slide off a platform during high winds.

Interesting take on the genre
Format: Kindle
True rating: 3.25 ⭐️ I enjoyed the fresh take on the genre. The best way I could describe the setting and world is an apocalyptic dystopian version of Farie where vampires, fae, and angles struggle to survive in what is left of the world. It was definitely interesting throwing the academy/hunger games aspect into this world as well. Even though I guessed the final reveal early on in the book, I kept hoping I was wrong, and it would take a surprising turn. While the "plot twists" were a bit predictable to me, I still enjoyed the ride this book took me on. Another downfall for me was the plot holes in the world building... I.E. if society has fallen and the world is in the aftermath of war, how are there trains running around the world? Just to take young adults to the trials to get into the golden city? How is the train maintained, the tracks clear, etc? However, I did enjoy the FMC & MMC and thought they were fleshed out nicely. I also enjoyed the side characters but wish some were developed more like Ashalin (sp?). I do find myself rooting for the MCs to succeed and find happiness together, which is obviously an important aspect for romantasy. Overall, was this an earth-shattering, mind-bending, terrific piece of literature? No. But was it the worst thing I've read this year? Also, no. This book has, to me, the bones of a great read & just needs a bit more to push it from an alright book to a great book. Overall ratings: Plot- 3.5⭐️ World building 3⭐️ Spice 2.5 🌶🌶 Main characters 4 ⭐️ Supporting characters 3.5⭐️

great book
Format: Kindle
I am really excited to meet the author at the book retreat this month. I really enjoyed this world that she built and most of the female main character Huntress is so awesome. She goes through a lot in this book and the ending; wow! I wouldn't have even guessed. I highly recommend everyone to read this book. I have been so lucky this year that almost all the books I have read have been, so far, 5 out 5 stars.

Fallen for the Fallen Angel – A Guilty Pleasure Worth Every Page
Format: Kindle
There’s something deeply irresistible about a dark academia or trial-based setting, a brooding and arrogant fallen angel, and a fierce heroine with enough sass to go toe-to-toe with him. Wings So Wicked is exactly that kind of book—and I devoured it in just a couple of days. To be fair, the plot isn’t groundbreaking. If you’re looking for something fresh and innovative in terms of storyline, this might not be it. But if your reader heart beats faster at the mere mention of enemies-to-lovers, jealousy-fueled banter, magical trials, betrayals, and forbidden tension—you’ll feel right at home. It’s like catnip for those of us with this particular weakness. The chemistry between the leads could have used a slightly slower burn to make the tension sizzle longer, but I still found myself completely invested in their dynamic. There are moments and phrases that feel a bit cheesy or underdeveloped, but honestly? I didn’t care. The vibes were exactly what I wanted. This book isn’t trying to reinvent the genre—it’s here to give readers like me what we crave: high-stakes magical drama, angsty romance, and the thrill of watching a badass girl and her brooding counterpart clash and spark. If that sounds like your kind of story, Wings So Wicked will hit the mark. Here’s hoping Book 2 turns up the heat and keeps the magic alive.

my new favorite book
Format: Kindle
Ok so I never write reviews but this book was so good I felt the need to write this. Firstly your introduced to Huntyr you see her closed off hard core badass than towards the end you see the most subtle change and growth it’s amazing and the enemies to friends to lovers was just perfect, AND THE TWIST AT THE END GOT ME GOOD! You see one spicy scene the whole book but it doesn’t even MATTER BECAUSE THE BOOK WAS THAT GOOD. I’ve read 85 books in 2023-2024 so far and I’m pround to say this is my all time favorite. I’m so excited to read more of Emily Blackwoods books, this was my first time reading one of hers and I’m glad I did because HOLY!! Well done Emily well done

Fast paced romantasy you will not want to put down!
Format: Kindle
4.25 stars! I LOVED this book with similar vibes to Hush Hush, Fourth Wing, and The Serpent and the Wings of Night! It was fast paced with easy world building and will keep you turning the pages late into the night because you will not want to put it down! Huntyr is a fierce bad@ss FMC trained to kill vampyres her entire life. She is sent on a mission to go to the academy and earn her spot into The Golden City. Upon arrival, she is forced to room with the delicious fallen angel, Wolf, who is the only one who knows about her assassin identity. The romance, the plot twists, the secrets revealed, the battles, and the tantalizing training scenes had me hooked! And that ending…. I’m holding my breath in need to know hell! Read if you love: 🪽 Fae, Vampyres, Fallen Angels 🪽 Academy setting with magical trials 🪽 Forced proximity and slow burn 🪽 Rivals to lovers 🪽 Hidden identities and secrets 🪽 Tend your wounds “𝘖𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶.
